The events occurred on the evening of Monday, December 23 in Ajaccio.
Around 11:30 p.m., shots rang out inside Lamparo, a busy downtown bar.
Five people were injured. Two of them were transported in absolute emergency to the Miséricorde hospital center. According to our information, the vital prognosis of one of these two victims is in jeopardy.
The three other injured people, who were in relative emergency, were also transferred a little later to the hospital, after having also been taken care of by firefighters and Samu personnel.
On site, the police began to carry out the first investigations. A major device was deployed by the police to secure the area around the establishment which welcomed a lot of people on this Christmas holiday evening. The sound of the shots notably caused panic inside the bar.
At this time, the circumstances in which these shots were fired are unknown.
