Thick fog enveloped much of the Prairies Monday morning. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) forecasts that it will dissipate during the day, but could reform this evening.
In Saskatchewan, the central and southern regions of the province are affected, including the cities of Saskatoon, the Battlefords, Zénon Park, Prince Albert, Regina, Moose Jaw and Gravelbourg.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution on the roads, as visibility is almost zero in some areas. According to ECCCfog could also make roads slippery.
Similar conditions are observed in part of eastern Alberta as well as in southwestern Manitoba up to Winnipeg. Caution is therefore recommended to motorists traveling between provinces.
Furthermore, the majority of Saskatchewan's road network is partially covered in snow, according to the government Highway Hotlines website. (New window).
