Valls, Darmanin, Borne, Retailleau, Lombard… Discover the composition of the Bayrou government

After 10 days of intense negotiations, François Bayrou's government was finally named this Monday, December 23. Before Christmas, therefore, as the new tenant of Matignon hoped. Bruno Retailleau is kept at the Interior, Elisabeth Borne and Gérald Darmanin are returning as is Manuel Valls.

After a hectic first week in Matignon, François Bayrou revealed the composition of his government on December 23. The Prime Minister continued consultations over the weekend to train his team, before meeting this Sunday, three times, with Emmanuel Macron. But several blocking points made it impossible to appoint the executive team on Sunday evening, as initially planned. The first Council of Ministers of François Bayrou's government will take place on January 3.
