Madrillet business park/Vente Olivier: attractive and responsible

The Madrillet Business Park/Vente Olivier in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray has received the “Responsible ” label for its exemplary approach to social, environmental and governance responsibility.

The “Responsible Normandy” label was awarded on December 11 by the Normandy Region and AD Normandie to three business parks for their exemplary approach to social, environmental and governance responsibility. The Madrillet Business Park/Vente Olivier in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray was rewarded, allowing the Normandy Metropolis to achieve the highest distinction with the 3rd golden leopard. This is the only Norman park distinguished at this level by the Region.

For Nicolas Mayer-Rossignol, Mayor of Rouen, President of the Rouen Normandy Metropolis and Abdelkrim Marchani, Vice-President in charge of the economy, attractiveness, higher education and research, student life, digital technology, L 'Europe and international : « The Parc du Madrillet / Vente Olivier represents what a community and its partners can do best for the attractiveness of the territory, and the Normandy Region and AD Normandie were able to recognize this and reward us! Inclusivity, innovation, accessibility… We are continuing the work and are already committed to the development of the Park by 2035, with a beautiful, well-deserved distinction which encourages us even more. »

The Rouen Normandy Metropolis applied in 2021 alongside its partners (ARTEMAD, RNA, Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray Town Hall) for the Parc du Madrillet/Vente Olivier. Two leopards were obtained in December 2021 following the call for projects. The Metropolis applied again in June 2024 with its partners (RNA, ARTEMAD, City of Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, ESIGELEC, Rouen Normandie University, CROUS, INSA, CESI, Lycée Le Corbusier, Campus SCI, Rouen Normandie Création, Next Move) to obtain the 3rd leopard, successfully. Parc du Madrillet/Vente Olivier is thus the first and only park to obtain this 3rd leopard.

The jury thus highlighted the original and innovative actions implemented in the Madrillet/Vente Olivier park: biosourced materials coalition, Earth Hour, Reboot Project, etc. Its accessibility by public transport was also highlighted. The application focused on three components: the environmental aspect, the animation and governance aspect and the social component.

As part of the environmental aspectthe optimization of the land carried out on the Parc du Madrillet/Vente Olivier was particularly appreciated, in particular thanks to the establishment of a master plan for real estate and developments, the presence of a heating network biomass on the Park, as well as an ambitious waste management policy taking into account in particular the management of deconstruction waste.
As part of the social aspect, the presence of equipment and infrastructure for well-being at work and a strong commitment to inclusion played in favor of this project.
Finally, in the field of governance and animationvarious projects were highlighted: existence of stakeholder mapping, public transport with a very high level of service, digital science house project, etc.
