Following the climatic events that occurred in Valencia, the Spanish Cultural Center carried out a large collection of donations for the victims. The exceptional influx of donations pushed them to ask Gérard Trémège, Mayor of , for logistical help. He was thus able to put them in contact with the transport company BARCOS which allowed them to transport a semi-trailer free of charge for the victims.

To thank all the donors and partners, the Spanish Cultural Center organized a meeting around a small aperitif and tapas. Isabelle and Paqui Godino, members of the association, highlighted the success of the call for donations which mobilized many people.

Generosity from all walks of life

Other contributors, such as Sylvie Ferreira de sousa, insurance agent, wanted to support the cause by offering a donation of €500 through the Axa Atout Cœur association, which works in particular to protect the environment.

Gérard Trémège also announced an exceptional grant of €1,500 voted by the municipal council to support the association.
