A country's economy can only prosper sustainably if it rests on a productive and real base, capable of generating tangible wealth, jobs and concrete added value. A parasitic economy, dominated by speculative or rent-seeking practices, weakens growth, widens inequalities and slows development.

In Senegal, it is time to call for a collective start to build an economy anchored in real production. Funding must be directed as a priority towards structuring and productive projects: modernization of infrastructure, support for local SMEs, development of industrial, agricultural and technological sectors. This requires a clear vision, but also financial tools adapted to support these ambitions.

In this dynamic, it is crucial to challenge Senegalese employers. Many companies are content with redistribution or subcontracting positions without having their own production tools, thus limiting their ability to contribute significantly to the development of the national economy. Economic development cannot be based solely on consumption or speculation; it requires investment in strong and competitive local value chains.

We are therefore launching an appeal to all economic and financial players to take their part in this transformation.

For a strong, independent and sustainable economy, we must stop prioritizing the short term and invest in sectors capable of taking Senegal towards true emergence. The future of our economy depends on our ability to produce, innovate and create real wealth for our citizens.
