During this end-of-year period, the arrival of the holidays disrupts the calendar a little, and the municipality has therefore decided to adapt the next deadlines as best as possible: “The two public holidays, Christmas and New Year, fall this year on Wednesday, which forces us to offer an alternative to maintain this meeting which is always very appreciated by part of the population” explains Caroline Faus, deputy mayor in charge of economic life. In close collaboration with its municipal police unit, the town has scheduled its open-air market to not deprive fans of their friendly meeting: “We will offer the market the day before, with seven non-sedentary traders who will be present during these two dates” specifies the elected official.

With roses

On this obviously very special occasion, the municipal commission decided to offer a rose to each participant to mark the occasion: “Generally speaking, our market has a rather shy audience, because we suffer from the holding of two other markets on Wednesdays , including that of , but there is a warm atmosphere and the products are of quality. Some local flavors in a short circuit, particularly for fruits and vegetables, fat or poultry, and the presence of a cheese maker or a caterer is very appreciated: “We observe a rather loyal and accustomed clientele, and we hope that during the holidays many Bastide residents will come and discover this beautiful diversity.” On the diary, it should therefore be noted that the Bastide market will take place on Tuesdays, December 24 and 31, from 8 a.m. to noon.
