At the hearing, assisted by an interpreter, the defendant with a clean criminal record said that he “did not commit violence. She's the one who's nervous about everything. » He claims that it was his son's mother who was violent during her pregnancy.

The victim's lawyer requests payment of €3,000 in damages and €1,000 for legal costs. The defendant's lawyer speaks of a “questionable file” . He highlights his client's lack of prior convictions and his non-aggressiveness.

The public prosecutor is requesting a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years, an obligation to receive psychological care and to follow an accountability course for the prevention and fight against violence within the couple and sexist violence, as well as a prohibition of contact with the victim and withdrawal of the exercise of parental authority.

The court sentences the defendant to four months in prison with a simple suspended sentence and forces him to pay €400 to the victim for the damage suffered and €800 for lawyer's fees.
