For the 12th day of TOP 14, Castres Olympique hosted Union Bordeaux Bègles. In difficult conditions with pouring rain, our players lost for the first time this season at home this evening.
The start of the game was choppy, with each team trying to take the game on their own. But the offensives of our Olympians were unsuccessful. Opposite, the Bordeaux scorers gave the visitors a lead. At the very end of the half, the Bordeaux side scored a “cap” try by pushing a ball snatched by our defense.
Only one change was noted at the restart, the exit of Chilachava replaced by Collier. Unfortunately, our English left pillar was replaced by our Georgian (46') following an injury…
Nothing seemed to succeed for the Olympians, penalized in the scrums and unhappy in the game.
Despite a succession of touches found in the Bordeaux camp by Palis, our Olympians failed to score a single point and remained 10 points behind the UBB.
For the last of the season at home, our Olympians lost to Union Bordeaux-Bègles (3-13).
