The people of Brest ended their calendar year with the arrival of the Remparts of Tours. With this meeting, the Albatross completed their block against the four leading teams (Épinal, Caen, Dunkirk, and Tours). Jonathan Avenel's partners did not take advantage of the first numerical superiority of the game, but rather wanted to respect the solid Touraine team.
Simply revs too hard
The Remparts showed their claws after ten minutes, and it was Duquenne's post which returned Gibbons' shot. The Brestois in turn erased a numerical inferiority, but shortly after the score changed. Fournier unleashed a missile sent back through the crossbar, but the puck was caught on the volley with finesse by Mallais who opened the scoring (0-1, 16th).

The Albatross got off to a strong start after the first break, and quickly came back to level with the Tourangeaux. Motreff, launched from deep, won his duel against Raibon and equalized. If the Tourangeaux had dominated the first act, the second was clearly in favor of the Brestois. Aggressive at the loss of the puck, and quickly placed in the attacking zone, the Albatross were very close to going in front. But due to clumsiness the score did not go in their favor. Worse ! A lost puck in the defensive zone was exploited by Jean who served Gibbons on a plate.
Tours regained the advantage exactly one minute into the second intermission. The Bretons therefore had to start with a deficit of one unit in the final period, but things got tough too quickly. Tours scored a third goal. This achievement allowed the Remparts to see it coming, while the Brestois had to take risks. A new puck that came out badly from the defense brought the fourth goal for Tourangeaux.
Fournier in traffic pushed the puck into Duquenne's cage. Brest, which had nevertheless made a good impression, once again faded away against a top player in the division. Mais' fifth goal was very anecdotal. The Brestois ended the year with a severe defeat while waiting for better in 2025.
