Following the catastrophic floods that took place near Valencia on October 29 and 30, Eva Ciscar, a native of this region, immediately created a group on social networks called Solidarité Valencia, with the establishment of a donation collection. Thanks to this, a truck of basic necessities was delivered (Midi Libre of November 19).

The need not to forget them remains very present.

Eva Ciscar explains: “The damage is so significant that the teams on site cannot be informed of everything. We identify the forgotten ones from and communicate with our contacts on site who act quickly. We were able to ensure that Pilar, 92 years old, who had been sleeping for more than a month on a chair and received a bed and sheets, as well as Luisa, 87 years old, and her brother Luis, 70 years old.

We will return there very soon to identify them and help them. Then, we will prepare a large-scale operation called “the convoy of hope” with associations, from January 22 to February 10, in order to rehabilitate an entire neighborhood.” The volunteers will be accompanied by two NGOs, Mission trekkeurs ( ) and Citizen Reserve (), from January 22 to 29.

“But to ensure the success of this mission, we must bring together three other partners from January 30 to February 10.

For this, we call for solidarity and unity to help as many deprived people as possible,” announces Eva Ciscar.
