55 years of career and WISHBONE ASH continues to do what he loves best: playing his music! Wishbone Ash was one of the first groups to play with two solo guitarists. Indeed, at the end of the 60s/early 70s each group had its guitarist: Deep Purple with Blackmore, Led Zep with Page etc… From this particularity was born the group's trademark: the TWIN GUITARS. This way of harmonizing guitar parts – a bit like the brass style – was quickly adopted by other major groups like Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. Preferring to continue on their own path rather than sacrificing themselves following successive fashions or getting lost in the race for hits, WISHBONE ASH has reached the status of a Cult group. The group led by Andy Powell's legendary Flying V has retained its artistic integrity and its demand for quality. Thus, the group's faithful continue to attend their concerts in large numbers. The English could have rested on their laurels (Argus was a multi-platinum album) but the idea was always to continue the creative work. This is how the band stays fresh. In 2020 WISHBONE ASH releases Coat Of Arms, its 24th studio album! Classic Rock Magazine places it in its list of albums of the year. In 2023 Live Dates Live is released. In 2024 the group is launching a major survey among fans on social networks to find out their favorite tracks that they would like to hear live: the result is the setlist for the Wishlist tour 2024/2025! Integrity, experience and technique of WISHBONE ASH (more than 120 concerts per year!) make each of his appearances a moment of exceptional music.
