Paris: botched robbery in a massage parlor in the 17th arrondissement

Weekend in police custody for two men arrested in the 17th arrondissement, just after the robbery of a massage parlor in the upscale neighborhoods, not far from the Malesherbes metro station ( 17th). The events took place early Friday evening. The criminals in the car had attracted the attention of bikers from CSI 75, the security company, on mission to the district.

It was the passenger who most intrigued the police, with his collar pulled up over part of his face. And it was he who got out of the car and rushed into the living room. No mistake possible with a customer, he had a helmet on his head and a tear gas canister in his hand. The driver waited at the wheel, the engine running.

A loot of 1,800 euros

The man was given money. In the next few moments, he left the living room and jumped into the car. His escape was short-lived. The police checked them immediately. They got their hands on 1,800 euros in cash, the tickets were in an envelope that the passenger had tried to hide in his pants. The living room's surveillance cameras were seized.

The two men spent the night in police custody, which is still ongoing this Saturday, indicates the Paris prosecutor's office. Massage parlors are not spared from armed robberies. The loot doesn't matter. Last August, employees of an institute in the Alésia district (14th century) were threatened and locked up by a criminal, who exhibited a weapon. For barely a few dozen euros.
