On the occasion of its 32nd Coupe de final against Saint-Étienne, which will take place on Sunday December 22, the Marseille club will auction the jerseys worn by the players during this meeting. The funds will be donated to Secours populaire.

“A long common history”

The team from the Marseille city also explained that they share “a long common history” with Mayotte “marked by the presence of numerous Olympian supporters on site but also the passage to Bleu et Blanc in the 2000s, of Toifilou Maoulida and which continues today through the links that Keyliane Abdallah and Raimane Daou maintain with the island in the Indian Ocean. »

Toifilou Maoulida, born in Mayotte, was an OM striker from 2006 to 2007 while Keyliane Abdallah, who grew up between Mayotte and Marseille, and Raimane Daou, born in Mayotte and international for the Comoros, are currently in the ranks of Marseille club.
