Madame Blanc-Coulomb Josette was born on December 27, 1924 in . She is the youngest of three girls and she was 19 years apart from the youngest. From 2 to 6 months, she was placed with a nanny then she went to live with a paternal aunt who was a school principal (until she was 6 years old) in a small village in in Meynes. She was then placed with her first aunt in Vénéjan until she was 8 years old. She finally returned to her parents where she continued her studies to obtain a primary school certificate and then the upper elementary certificate. She then did 2 years of secretarial work to obtain her shorthand typist diploma and, thus, be able to return to the EDF where she worked for 15 years (from July 1942 to October 1957). In January 1945, she met André Blanc during a show. They got engaged at Christmas 1946 and married on August 2, 1947. From this union 3 children were born: Pascal born in 1951, Mireille born in 1955 and Frédérique born in 1957.

Madame Blanc stopped working for 9 years to raise her children but on Thursday afternoons she went to a workshop to do manual work with the children. For 9 years, from 1966 to 1975, she ran a tobacconist/newspaper shop in Ampuis, about thirty kilometers from Lyon. The resale of this business allowed him to buy a second home in Ollioules (where the whole family met regularly) while keeping his apartment in Lyon. She is now, at 100 years old, the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In August 2009, Madame Blanc and her husband moved to Porte Marine in La Seyne-sur-Mer because she wanted to be closer to 2 of her children living in Ollioules.

A woman of character, she was independent at home until she entered an EHPAD in May 2021.
