The Animal Aids association, created in 2019, supports homeless or very vulnerable people and their animals who play an essential social role throughout the year.
Animal Aids, explains Amélie Trovato, president of the association, collects unsold items (food, accessories, etc.) from pet stores and garden centers (Tom & Co, Villaverde, etc.) and donations which it then redistributes to different associations (shelters). …) or individuals. It also regularly organizes maraudes in Niort as well as a solidarity Christmas for the masters and their companions every end of the year.
The 5e edition of this festive and friendly event took place on December 14, 2024 in the afternoon at the Goise neighborhood center in Niort: Christmas decor (tree, balloons, etc.), sweet and savory buffet offered by different partners, buffet also for animals were installed by volunteers. Around forty Caniboxes and Féliboxes personalized according to the size, age and needs of each animal with treats, toys, kibble, etc. as well as first aid kits produced by Escale were also offered to those accompanied. Two volunteer photographers were still present to immortalize the poses of the owners and their animals in memory of this early Christmas.
