While Avignon presents itself at the Aguille (3 p.m.), the defeat of the Grizzlis at Saint-Gaudens brings the XIII Limouxin into the ranks which is now in the red zone for qualification.
Even if, once again, victory was within reach in St-Gaudens, the Blanquetiers lacked the control and efficiency to tip the balance to their side (26-22). And, at this rate, fifth defeat on the clock including three at home, it is the qualification that could become problematic.
Imperative victory
In order to find a little hope before this last match of the first leg, XIII Limouxin has no other choice than to win against an Avignon team which remains on a promising victory over Lézignan around a quality Arnaud-Jullien hinge (22-18). Even if the Vauclusiens have not had a good start to the season, the Limouxins are in the same boat and have an interest in putting in the necessary ingredients to ensure victory because, failing that, the end-of-year celebrations could turn out to be sad.

Given the string of injured people occupying the infirmary since the start of the season, the staff has little choice and must continue to trust their reduced group, hoping that they will finally manage to raise their level of play.
Allan Tears on the bench
If in terms of engagement in the defensive sector, there is nothing to complain about, on the other hand offensively, it lacks sharpness, realism and effectiveness. We must therefore end this difficult and disappointing first leg in the best possible way with a victory over Avignon and hope that everything goes well when we resume next year.
The only change comes from the return to the bench, after several months of absence, of Allan Torreilles who should bring all his experience during the game, either in the third line or at the hinge.
