Link in the Eole soft mobility project
The Nanterre-la-Folie station constitutes one of the essential links in the major Eole mobility projectcarried by SNCF Réseau, aiming to extend the RER E west by 55 km to Mantes-La-Jolie. This is one more stone brought to the service of soft mobility.
“The Nanterre-la-Folie station stands out for its architecture and its harmonious integration into the Groues districtpositively shaping the territory. This result was obtained thanks to the commitment of the Arcadis and Explorations-Architecture teams, mobilized throughout the ten years of studies and workwho have developed technical solutions to serve an ambitious architectural purpose, which is well reflected in the catenary protection canopies of the footbridge or the architectural catenary posts, unique works designed specifically for the station. But beyond urban renewalwe are particularly proud to participate in a project promoting ever more ecological mobility in Île-de-France and significantly reducing travel times for Ile-de-France residents,” comments Mikaël Beck, major projects director at Arcadis, project manager of the station.
