Since last August and until the end of November, the police had recorded numerous thefts from vehicles in the northern sectors of Trois-Rivières and Trois-Rivières-Ouest, break-ins into residences in addition to fraudulent use of bank cards.
A vehicle was also stolen during this period.
“The suspects used a nocturnal sweeping method in wealthy neighborhoods, testing car doors, residence and shed doors to steal various objects as well as bank cards. […] The stolen bank cards were then used in businesses to carry out fraudulent transactions,” explains the police.
Two searches
From 6 a.m. Thursday morning, two residences on rue Gérard-Bourget were searched.
An adult and two minors were arrested at the scene. They were later released pending their eventual return to court to face charges.
On site, the police were able to get their hands on various objects linked to the various crimes, in addition to objects obtained fraudulently.
“Investigators wish to inform citizens who have been victims that an inventory will be carried out and that the victims concerned will be contacted to recover their property,” it is specified.
