Offices and a co-working space are for rent in this third location. The first companies welcomed, like Neext Engineering (read our article)have already taken off and opted for larger spaces. The movement illustrates the dynamic. The seven offices found takers in two days; some will be free soon. “We currently have around ten places available,” confirms Olivier Lamotte.
Another Crunch lab tool that exceeds expectations: the large room. It is modular and has technical means, a stage or even a screen. Round table, conference, general assembly, film screening… so many types of events that have been organized in this space. “It is often praised,” appreciates Olivier Lamotte.
Phase 2 of the building is currently underway, with preliminary studies; 10,000 m2 are to be renovated on the upper floors of the Crunch lab. The site will notably include a mini factory, called Crunch Factory, co-hosted by the Crunch Lab. It will be very well equipped in terms of numerically controlled equipment, notably a 4-axis machining center, a lathe, several additive printers, including one with laser sintering (SLS technique). “We will have the capacity to make flexible and functional parts,” greets Olivier Lamotte, making it possible to produce prototypes or small series. The Crunch factory is designed as a space “shared”, in order to “to share experiences”. To respond, an economic interest group will be created, in which companies will be able to join. They will thus be able to work on proofs of concept, follow training “without endangering their production”, notes Olivier Lamotte. They will also benefit from shared technological monitoring. “Companies will be able to work together in a neutral environment,” explains Olivier Lamotte, convinced that only entrepreneurs can help entrepreneurs and thus “create activity”.
The Crunch Lab team has eleven people.
