A big clean up. From Monday December 30, 2024, the Closeaux swimming pool of Rueil-Malmaison (Hauts-de-Seine) will be closed. It will not reopen until the beginning of March 2025, after having undergone a whole series of renovation and maintenance work. With this project, the municipality wishes to ensure the durability and quality aquatic facilities, with the aim of “extending the lifespan of this building built in 1971, beyond 2030”, explains the municipality to Paris news.
All renovated facilities
For 3 months, the work will include the renovation of the facilities of water treatment and heating, insulation, renovation of the exterior areas, painting on elements of the framework of the pool hall as well as the partial renovation of the lockers and cabins toilets and changing rooms. “So that users can benefit from the swimming pool to the maximumthe work is carried out during the annual emptying,” specifies the town hall.
In total, this project will cost more than 600 000 euros to the municipality, for which “sport and youth are priority areas of action, and learning to swim an issue,” she continues.
During this closure period, the city invites its residents to go to the Arsenal swimming pool. For its part, the Closeaux swimming pool ensures that their subscription “remains valid and working also at the Arsenal aquatic center.
