The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says it has seized nearly 4,000 cartons of contraband cigarettes, cannabis, cash and casino chips from a Vancouver residence.

Officers first intercepted numerous shipments of contraband cigarettes at the Vancouver International Airport.

An investigation launched in February 2024 led officers to a Vancouver residence on November 19, where they seized:

  • 3,826 cartons of contraband cigarettes;
  • 4.2 kg of illegal cannabis;
  • $51,915 in cash and casino chips;

They arrested a 34-year-old man as part of this operation.
