“I was in the station hall where there were people, when suddenly I heard screaming, it was a woman. Turning immediately in the direction of the screams, I saw a young man running and this shocked lady. I quickly realized that she had just been attacked and that the guy who was running away was involved. I didn’t hesitate for a second, I tackled him to the ground,” says Hector, who had the saving reflex from the time when he was a deputy national police officer, before becoming a security agent. This Montpellier resident does not lose his adrenaline in such situations.

To keep the attacker on the ground, Hector requested the assistance of two witnesses who immediately lent him a hand, “because the kid was struggling. I would have given him 16 years old, he was so big, he didn’t look 14. We held it until a national police patrol arrived, an official recorded my identity and my telephone contact. In the evening, for the purposes of the investigation, the judicial police officer in charge of custody at the Nîmes central police station called me to obtain details.”
