Since its reopening in January 2023, the Baragouin in Douai is teeming with ideas to liven up rue des Clarisses. After a raclette evening last week, the establishment of Charles, Agathe and Mozart is offering you an “ugly Christmas sweaters” evening this Friday, December 20, on the occasion of the international day dedicated to these famous sweaters. Wearing this somewhat kitsch garment is an old Anglo-Saxon tradition which has regained popularity in recent years. For this evening, the organizers are not planning a sweater competition but are promising you a pure moment of fun, with beer, mulled wine and of course music.
A well-known man in Douai behind the decks
Indeed, Eddy Palin aka Didi, will mix exclusively on vinyl with his friends Xav and MK. “Eddy is a loyal customer and friend, with whom we work regularly since he is in charge of communications at Wagnonville high school. Coming from the nightlife world, he has a great musical culture. I think he will play a lot of music from the 80s and 90s (The Cure, Depeche Mode) and depending on the atmosphere, it will start with house music. It will be both comforting and nostalgic. Eddy had already done a concert with his group Frozen Ship and his solo project. Eddyson, a few months ago”explain Charles and Agathe.
Exceptional openings during the holidays
And the Baragouin has not said its last word for 2024, since it will be open exceptionally until 8 p.m. on December 24 and 31, so you can come and drink a beer or buy a few bottles for your New Year’s Eve party.
