Paint and cork are their thing!

This month of December, the Fleurs Campagne boutique is preparing for the holidays with stuff by Rémy Tuybens and the cork creations of Carole Vilbrod.

Rémy Tuybens has found his thing. Since 2022 and his first conceptual work inspired by Doodle the self-taught artist only sees through his little characters with black, round eyes like marbles, “my signature”, he says. With them, he set out to conquer a world where comics and acrylic painting merge. And nothing stops the artist and his creatures who burst the canvas: “I am at seventy works, or 3,000 stuff

and 6,000 eyes in two years.”

The “stuff” hits the nail on the head… THE stuff

hit the nail on the head everywhere, revisit a concept or a work or make a nod to famous people. They are at ease in any situation and, above all, bring a smile, making their author “an artist committed against gloom”. Through his artistic audacity and precision, Rémy Tuybens became Monsieur Truc and found the alchemy between the subject and its support. Success transformed the initial hobby into a full-fledged job. Ten exhibitions are on its program this year, between Geneva, … So obviously, the Castelneuvien wants to do more… lots of stuff

!

Under a metal arbor, Caroline Vilbrod exhibits her creations in cork skin “from Portugal”, she specifies. The self-taught Berruyère artisan has been passionate about this soft, supple and tear-resistant texture since 2017.

From this vegetable fabric, a term she prefers to vegetable leather, hands keen on sewing make accessories, including pouches, bags, glasses cases, bow ties, key rings… “There is no shortage of ideas,” says -She. The natural material has also inspired new products, a pretty collection of jewelry, including light earrings to wear. “And I really enjoy doing that. »

One of the disciplines of drawing, which has become an art. Originally doodling, this artistic practice which consists of drawing lots of small drawings which intertwine with each other has taken the name of Doodle Art.
