Exit the traditional Christmas trees and decorations. Make way for contemporary, bright and interactive inflatable structures. This year, the royal castle of Blois (Loir-et-Cher) is renewing itself by offering an “inflated, joyful and colorful Christmas”, according to the City.
From December 7 until January 5, the former home of the kings of France welcomes surprising creatures through the exhibition “Modern Guru and the path that leads to artificial happiness”. They are the work of the Australian studio ENESS, specialized in digital art. The exhibition was awarded “the International Exhibition of the Year 2024 prize by the magazine Frame», Underlines the municipality on its Facebook page.
Four installations
The exhibition invites visitors to question happiness in the age of artificial intelligence. In the Salle des Estates General, the labyrinth of fireflies, leading to the Moderne Gourou, is one of the four installations in the exhibition:
Can you find your way to the Modern Guru? Located at the heart of the labyrinth, he delivers his good words, making everyone think about the path that leads to happiness. He prints messages generated by artificial intelligence from his mouth, contrasting the printing press with the advent of AI, the first technology in the history of humanity capable of writing its own history.
Also worth discovering: the giant yogi in meditation, hanging from a railing. “The yoga instructor has taken over the Gaston-d’Orléans wing and its spectacular vestibule. With his hands on the ground, he balances and meditates,” the City further reports on the social network.
Whispering mountains, alive, colorful and luminous, also appeared in the gardens of the Foix terrace. Finally, you will end your visit by crossing a colorful forest in the middle of the castle courtyard.
Until January 5. Royal castle of Blois. Free with the Blois Culture Pass.
