Around twenty students from the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT) decided to take on a major challenge: cdesign and build an electric racing car.
A project which is part of an international competition, the Formula Studentwhich brings together nearly 1,000 teams from all over the world.
During the championships, teams are judged on both static tests (design presentation, financial plan, market analysis) and dynamic (acceleration, endurance, maneuverability).
United under the banner of Troyes Racing Team, these future engineers are working hard to build and launch their electric single-seater vehicle on the track in July 2026, during the first races of the season in Europe.
Beyond its technical ambition, this project is also a unique opportunity to promote local know-how, by involving companies from Aube and the surrounding area.
With a forecast budget of 85,000 euros, the Troyes Racing Team is launching a call for partnerships. Whether it is financial support, supply of materials or technical expertise. “ We have a lot of parts that come from very varied companies, we have in particular our entire braking system, our entire steering system, the carbon, which we were able to recover in fact from a company that was going to throw them away because it There was a technical defect on the carbon, so that’s already material recovery. In fact we have a multitude of companies that could be represented by our car. Any help is welcome! » adds Corentin Di Scala, president of the Troyes Racing Team association.
