INTERVIEW – The general director of KTO looks back on the success of the French-speaking Catholic channel, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary. This mother is also a woman involved in the Church, on which she takes a lucid look.
Philippine de Saint Pierre, 53, journalist, runs one of the most original television channels in the French audiovisual landscape, KTO. She explains the keys to the success of this television founded by Cardinal Lustiger and which today has an audience, including Africa in particular, of 20 million cumulative viewers. She recalls that it is not the ecclesial institution which dictates the channel’s programs.

PHILIPPINE OF SAINT PIERRE. – It is a thematic channel, like others specializing in sport or news. Our theme is the Catholic faith, the Catholic view of the world… There we find live prayer, current affairs or philosophy debates, training broadcasts, precise religious information, documentary films …
