“The Magic Flute” by Mozart in UGC cinemas, December 19 at 7:30 p.m.
Its plot certainly does not take place at Christmas, but “The Magic Flute” has everything of a fairy tale: a wise old man, a queen of the night who sings very high-pitched when she is angry, and two lovers who will have to overcome many trials to be reunited, helped by a zany birdcatcher and a magic flute who has the secret power to bring peace to the hearts of human beings. This production, by Cédric Klapisch, delighted the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in 2023, and is now broadcast in all UGC cinemas in France.
It’s a great diary to spend Christmas, certainly without “The Nutcracker”, but with a festive heart!
