Franck Diard’s career is a real success story, as is often attributed to American series. He discovered his passion for computing at the IUT of Reims in 1992. He remembers: “ When I returned to the IUT of Reims, I discovered computer-generated images. Pixar didn’t exist, we made pixels from our coding, it’s a very strong memory. » This experience was the starting point of his dazzling career.
After his studies in Reims and Nice, the young man decided to try the American dream. He started at the bottom of the ladder at NVIDIA in 2000, as technical support. “ I repaired over the phone “, he explains. Through his hard work and talent, he rose through the ranks to become “ distinguished engineer » et « master inventor ».
In his 24-year career at NVIDIA, Franck Diard has filed 104 patents, a large contribution to the company’s success. He notably created key technologies such as the NVIDIA SLI multi GPU, the NVIDIA Optimus hybrid GPU and GeForce NOW, a streaming gaming platform.
Today, Franck Diard wants to give back to his alma mater. His philanthropic gesture is inspired by the American culture of giving, which he has encountered for years. His wishful thinking: to encourage other former students to support their home university and open the way to support higher education and research in France.
