How are you blow hard in the and Pas-de- this Wednesday December 18 and Thursday December 19, 2024! A gust of wind “classic” for the season but which pushed the Météo services to place the two territories on alert. Be careful, especially if you have to drive.

Warning for strong winds in the North and Pas-de-Calais

Vigilance is yellow for both territories. It is underway for Pas-de-Calais with a first windy spell which will end in the middle of the afternoon. The wind will blow again in the evening until early Thursday morning. For the North, the alert begins late evening this Wednesday, December 18, 2024 and will also last until early morning.

In Pas-de-Calais, the first winds are blowing gusty and could reach 90 km/h on the Pas-de-Calais coast. For the evening gale, “gusts of around 70 to 80 km/h inland and even locally 90 km/h towards the coast are expected. On the coast, gusts will generally be between 80 and 100 km/h or even locally 110 km/h towards the exposed Capes“, warns Christopher Christopher Grolewski, founder of the Météo Nord – Pas-de-Calais site.

As you will have understood, caution is required.
