Specific to overseas territories, the culture, education and environment councils (CCEE) constitute, with the regional economic, social and environmental councils (CESER), the two advisory councils of the Réunion region. The mission of the Council for Culture, Education and the Environment is to support the mandate in its policies on education, environmental preservation and culture.
The contributions of the Council for Culture, Education and the Environment are numerous, including its involvement in the history of slavery, the promotion of the Creole language, education for sustainable development and even support for the audiovisual sectors.
The Region relies on the actors of the culture, education and environment council to make coherent and informed decisions, in accordance with the realities of professionals in the sector.
Patricia Profil, regional advisor responsible for regional cooperation in cultural matters: “We have committed and responsible stakeholders within the Council for Culture, Education and the Environment. We share unfailing trust, built on these four decades of collaboration.
She continues by saying “We will therefore assume all our responsibilities to pool and bring together the greatest number of actors. It is collectively, and in a logic of co-construction, that we will succeed in making Réunion shine in order to ensure the ‘future of future generations.’
