They are both licensed to the Tennis League of Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Bathélemy. Amélie Thiant and Jade Guindé returned from the junior world championships, which took place in São Paulo, Brazil, with a bronze medal. Selected within the French junior team, made up of six players, they confirm their place among the world elite of Beach Tennis.
The French junior team finished 3rd in the Beach Tennis World Championships, played in Brazil. On the beaches of São Paulo, Enola Hochdoerffer, Amélie Thiant, Jade Guindé, Louis Bepoldin, Paul Naboudet and Louis Girard Peinado dominated Ecuador in the quarter-finals before losing to Italy in the semi-finals. But a final victory at the expense of Venezuela in the small final gave them a – well-deserved – place on the podium. A beautiful bronze medal rewards the pugnacity of these promising junior athletes.
The main idea of this selection was to bring team spirit, cohesion, a desire to support each other and face adversity from start to finish. On paper we weren’t the best but the team was ready to go into battle and give it our all every time. Each player felt concerned and showed an impeccable state of mind, resilience, even when we were mistreated. I noticed emotional maturity and almost perfect management of the event. We come home feeling really happy and satisfied. Apart from Enola, the whole team is still in the junior category next year so we can have high hopes for the future.

Congratulations to our champions for this remarkable performance!

On the senior side, the Blues did not have the same success and had to settle for 5th place. The federal head of Beach Tennis, however, remains optimistic for the future. As for the juniors “we can have great hopes for the future.”
