The mayor of , Christian Estrosi, received members of the Mahorese community last night at the town hall for a ceremony in support of Mayotte. The opportunity to announce not only the vote, planned this morning in the municipal council, of an aid envelope of 100,000 euros. But also, the proposal for twinning with Mamoudzou, capital of this French department hit hard by Cyclone Chido, Saturday December 14.

“I wanted to address the residents of Mayotte with whom I shared wonderful things when I was minister. It is an incredible archipelago and our emotion is strong today, even though we do not yet know precisely the human tollunderlines the elected official. The City will commit a subsidy of 100,000 euros to support the disaster victims and for this, we are working together with the Red Cross.
