Improve the medico-social offer in the region. This Saturday December 14 has been laid the first stone of the future EHPAD “La Rougette mutualist space” of Labastide-Saint-Pierre, in the presence of Michel Weillpresident of the Departmental Council of Tarn-et-Garonne.
The mayor of the town Jerome Beqthe general secretary of the prefecture Edwige Darracq and the senator Pierre-Antoine Lévi were also present during this ceremony.
A capacity of 60 places
If this initiative was supported by the Mutualité française de Tarn-et-Garonne, the establishment will have a capacity of 60 places and will be equipped with the following services: an Alzheimer’s unit, day care and adapted accommodationas well asa branch of the Home Autonomy Service et a home care service.
Today, despite the budgetary constraints weighing on our communities, I am proud that we are able to support the construction of this EHPAD. These moments symbolize hope and the future,” rejoiced Michel Weill.
Located in the heart of the bastide commune, it will promote “intergenerational interactions with local associations and schools“, clarified the Department.
A project supported by the Department
In order for this EHPAD project to see the light of day, Michel Weill made it clear that the Tarn-et-Garonne Departmental Council allocated a subsidy of 305.000 eurosvoted by the Departmental Assembly last October.
Note that this support is fully in line with the Department’s policy, with a social budget of 44.5 million eurosin favor of the elderly.
