Santa Claus has received authorization from the government to begin his distribution of gifts and it will be possible to follow his journey on the internet.
It was the Minister of Transport who allowed Santa Claus to fly over Canada on the night of December 24 to 25.
“I am delighted to authorize Santa Claus to travel in Canadian airspace as part of my duties as Minister of Transport and Internal Trade,” said Anita Anand in a press release on Monday.
The latter ensured that all conditions were optimal for a successful trip before giving her agreement.
It was the first time she spoke with Santa Claus in her new role. In a post on X, she confirmed to Santa, during a video call, that she is “giving him the green light.”
Mme Anand also took the opportunity to wish Canadians a happy holiday.
Children and parents will be able to follow the journey of Santa Claus and his reindeer on the NORAD website. Information on its trajectory will be accessible from 6 a.m. on December 24 until 2 a.m. on December 25.
It is also possible to inquire about its location by telephone by calling 1-877-HI-NORAD.
