The trailer manufacturer Fruehauf is equipping its Auxerre production site with 16 photovoltaic parking canopies. These structures, covering 52,000 m², will offer a total capacity of 11 MWp for an annual production of 12.7 GWh, equivalent to the consumption of 2,800 inhabitants.
Carried out in partnership with GreenYellow, this project has a 30-year PPA contract. It will reduce CO₂ emissions by 621 tonnes per year and fits into the site’s logistical constraints. Built in six phases, it minimizes the impact on the semi-trailer storage activity while optimizing land use.
“This project marks a key step in our sustainable development approach. It reflects the perfect alliance between innovation and environmental responsibility, and we are proud to collaborate with a partner such as GreenYellow. This project is fully in line with Fruehauf’s CSR strategy, which aims to combine economic performance, reduction of our carbon footprint and societal commitment,” declares Philippe Le Pochat, Sales & Marketing Director at Fruehauf.
This partnership could also pave the way for other collaborations, both locally and internationally, thanks to Fruehauf’s membership in the Wielton group, present in five countries.
