The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, inaugurated the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Diamniadio this Tuesday. This ceremony marks a significant new step forward in the policy of strengthening hotel reception capacities and developing the tourism sector, a key area for our economy, reports a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.

According to the same source, the Courtyard by Marriott hotel, the result of an investment of 13 billion CFA francs, is a modern infrastructure with 134 rooms meeting the best international standards. Its construction enabled the creation of 150 direct jobs, thus contributing to the emergence of economic opportunities for our young people and the dynamism of the private sector.

The Head of State reaffirmed, on this occasion, his ambition to make tourism an engine of economic growth, in line with the Senegal 2050 National Transformation Agenda.

The hotel fits perfectly into the development of Diamniadio’s modern infrastructure, such as the Abdou Diouf International Conference Center, Dakar Arena and the Abdoulaye Wade stadium, making this locality a strategic hub for business tourism, events cultural and sporting.

This inauguration illustrates, once again, the confidence of investors in our country and the progress made to offer an attractive and competitive business environment.
