A reciprocal pact of non-aggression

It all started with the latest clashes between the two Bordeaux supporters’ clubs, in which the Ultramarines Bordeaux 1987 and the North Gate Bordeaux took part on December 7 during a Nationale 2 match at the Matmut stadium.

The prefect then threatened the Bordeaux and teams with a match played behind closed doors for this 32nd final of the Coupe de France. The condition for playing under normal conditions was the signing by the Girondin supporters’ clubs of a non-aggression pact.

A pact received today by Etienne Guyot, prefect of Gironde and signed under the aegis of the Club des Girondins de Bordeaux, as indicated in the press release sent by the prefecture of Gironde.

“The prefect welcomes this approach which demonstrates the commitment of the signatories to modify over time the irresponsible behavior deplored since the start of the season, in order to “guarantee a healthy, peaceful and respectful atmosphere within and around the Club”. notes Etienne Guyot.

A match under close surveillance

If this match will be played on Sunday in public and under normal conditions, after authorization from the prefect of Gironde, he indicates “that he will monitor very closely the implementation and respect of the pact”. The progress of this match, inside and outside the stadium, must certainly demonstrate the change in attitude of the supporters of Ultramarines Bordeaux 1987 and North Gate Bordeaux.

Thus, the prefect was keen to indicate that “any new incident will result in[it] an immediate review of the conditions for the next home matches.”
