Marrakech, spearhead of Moroccan attractiveness

The city of Marrakech remains the flagship destination for foreign visitors and Moroccan expatriates. Its popularity is based in particular on excellent air connectivity, with a strong network of low-cost direct flights, particularly from . The latter remains the main tourist market for Morocco, followed by the United Kingdom.

The strength of Moroccan tourism can be explained by a proactive policy of promoting the country’s different destinations, combined with geopolitical factors which push certain travelers to favor Morocco over other regions. With its 34 weekly direct flights between France and Marrakech, Morocco illustrates its strategic positioning as an essential gateway for tourism in Africa. This tourism surge marks a turning point in the region, making the kingdom a leader in the sector on a continental scale.
