Thursday, December 5, the residents of Herré were invited to the village hall to attend a public meeting concerning the compatibility of the Local Urban Planning Plan (PLU) and discover the photovoltaic project of the territory of the Community of Communes of Landes d'Armagnac (CCLA), and that concerning Herré.
This meeting followed the meetings in Cachen, then Saint-Justin. Brigitte Appolinaire, mayor of Herré, opened the meeting by specifying the motivations of the municipality: “We are a forest municipality which suffered two storms which seriously damaged our forest and therefore our financial resources. We therefore looked for new resources and the CCLA suggested that we integrate the community photovoltaic project (detailed in our December 5 edition, Editor's note). »
Financial benefits
Philippe Latry, president of the CCLA, recalled the community project which concerns public areas, specifying that thanks to the financial benefits (taxation, rents), the CCLA will be able to finance public policy through the powers of the CCLA or the municipalities, in particular social policy, economic development, roads. “The commune of Herré will receive financial benefits thanks to this community project. This innovative system in the territory will allow collective self-consumption for the benefit of individuals who wish it, as well as businesses, artisans and traders of the CCLA,” he continued.
The impact technician presented the general project and that of Herré, near the DFCI track at the north-eastern end of the town: “96 hectares were proposed for study, and following the various surveys, a large surface area was removed, keeping 25 hectares for the project. The power of this plant will be 20.26 megawatts, with an area of 17 fenced hectares and a cleared area of 22.58 hectares. A fire tank with drilling is planned, the tracks will be widened. » Philippe Latry assured that there was no need to worry because compensatory afforestation is also on the program.
