After Besançon, Nevers, Chalon-sur-Saône… make way for Lons-le-Saunier! For several years, President Marie-Guite Dufay's teams have gotten into the habit of leaving the headquarters premises in Dijon once a year for a plenary meeting relocated to another department. The Jura will therefore welcome for the first time this Friday all regional elected officials, who will meet at Juraparc at 9:30 a.m.
Why Lons-le-Saunier? Quite simply to continue to scan the territory, preferably in sessions which only take place over a single day, to limit the problem of transport. Why on this date? Because it is traditionally at the end of the year that the regional council organizes this decentralized meeting, even if certain imperatives have sometimes caused this date to be postponed.
Big money and agricultural files
If the precise agenda of this session has not yet been specified, we already know that, in the absence of a vote on the budget, postponed due to current national political events, there will be a question of modifying decisions on the budget previous. There will also be discussion of the EAFRD files (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development), these files of support for the agricultural sector whose delay in processing generated great anger among farmers, who had invited themselves to the previous meeting of regional elected officials in Dijon.
Note that at the same time, this Friday also at 9:30 a.m., the departmental councilors will also meet in Lons-le-Saunier, for a session which should continue next Monday, December 16, and which will be devoted to the vote on the budget 2025.
