Double house fire in Vendée this Tuesday, December 10, around 2 p.m., in the communes of Chantonnay and Saint-Mâlo-du-. In each case, the sinister affected a dwelling approximately 100 m away2.

The first fire broke out in Chantonnay, around 2:20 p.m., in rue des Tilleuls. “The action of the firefighters made it possible to stop the progression of the disaster”, specifies the Departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis) of Vendée.

Two victims slightly injuredan 89-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man, were taken care of by rescuers and transported in an emergency relating to the Departmental hospital center of La Roche-sur-Yon.

Twenty minutes later, flames ravaged a two-storey house, rue du Jubilé, in the town of Saint-Mâlo-du-Bois. The fire was contained using a hose. Contrary to the fire de Chantonnay, the disaster “did not cause any casualties”, assures Sdis.
