As of September 30, 2024, the power of the photovoltaic solar park reaches 23.7 gigawatts. Solar energy represents 6.2% of French electricity consumption (excluding self-consumption). At the end of September, there were 60 megawatts of total photovoltaic power connected in the Somme. The best-endowed departments are located in the southern half of the country.
