Guillaume Chevrollier, senator from Mayenne, questioned the Minister of Agriculture, Annie Genevard, Tuesday December 3, 2024, during the question session to the government on the subject of livestock farming. The parliamentarian called on the one who was still a minister to “support a strategic investment led by the agri-food group LDC, European leader in the poultry sector”.
150 million euros investment
“Representing more than 150 million euros, this investment aims to strengthen the industrial sites of Lassay-les-Châteaux and Laval, essential for the competitiveness of the poultry industry and the economic development of our territories”he indicates in a press release.
The elected official therefore requests support “clear and fair to guarantee the success of such projects, essential to preserve employment, support local farmers and face growing international competition”.
