Appointed since November 6, 2024, the new prefect of Isère is already facing the first turmoil. Our colleagues from Médiapart reveal that Catherine Séguin was able to send her son to a 3rd grade class at the public college in International school city from Grenoble.
A quick registration which was made possible thanks to a privilege since the prefect's son would not have been subjected to all the tests necessary to join the school.
No tests taken
Catherine Séguin officially took up her position on November 25. The same day, his son joined the Europole international college in Grenoble.
The integration would have been express since the young student did not follow the classic accession protocol. A version confirmed by the rectorate at Médiapart.
The family arrived in the city of Grenoble and requested registration during the year at the Cité Internationale de Grenoble in third grade. This request was able to be studied following the release of a place in this establishment and after analysis by the head of the establishment of the student's academic file. As is customary in such circumstances, in order to ensure educational continuity, it was agreed that he immediately enter this third year class to complete his secondary school career.
A unique case
Teachers and a former principal explain that this accelerated procedure is a first for Europole college.
An exception which raises all the more questions as this educational establishment is particularly prized for the quality of its teaching and that many student files are refused each year.
