According to the press release from the General Secretariat of the Qatari Government, dated November 13, 2024, the Council of Ministers approved the measures necessary for the ratification of the Memorandum of Understanding on Youth which links Qatar to Senegal.
Following this major step forward in the consolidation of the relationship, the “Senegalo-Qatari Friendship Circle”, the only Senegalese association which has the specificity of being focused solely on Qatar, warmly congratulates Ms. Khady Diène Gaye Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture as well as Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth.
This dynamic constitutes a very important step in deepening cooperation ties between the two nations. We extend our thanks to Ms. Yassine Fall Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs as well as Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Jassim Al Thani Minister of Foreign Affairs. Our compliments to all the competent political and diplomatic authorities of both countries for their diligence.
The Senegalese-Qatari Friendship Circle is ready to work to strengthen ties between the two peoples, particularly young people, in accordance with its bilateral vocation. On a multilateral level, we are in the same arrangements, especially since the association is affiliated with numerous international youth organizations such as the International Youth Network of the Francophonie. The RIJF acts under the aegis of the International Organization of La Francophonie of which both States are members.
