A conflict has opposed a couple and a 93-year-old woman since 2019. The first had bought a 132 m apartment in 20172 in Vincennes (Val-de-Marne) rented and occupied by the nonagenarian for 23 years. The family wanted to move there with their two children. However, she has still not been able to recover the accommodation even though she followed the procedure, explains Le Figaro Immobilier Monday December 2, 2024.

“However, we had done everything according to the rules, by notifying the tenant on April 11, 2019 for the premises to be vacated on February 4, 2021, well before the mandatory 6 months of notice”detailed the owner. The family even went further and offered the occupant a suitable rehousing solution. The tenant, who is also a multi-owner, is however particularly attached to the property. She lived in the home with her husband, who has since passed away.
The local court of Nogent-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) ordered the expulsion of the Francilienne in June 2021, our colleagues report. Four other similar decisions have since been issued. The Vincennes Town Hall, for its part, did not wish to provide support to the family. She would have mentioned a request considered to be « immoral »according to the family. The prefect, for his part, authorized the use of public force for the expulsion. A reprieve was ultimately granted based on new information.
