A new store has opened in Carré M in Montévrain. The “Terre de Running” brand, already present throughout France with its 48 stores, opened its doors on October 12, 2024. This is the first store in the network in Seine-et-Marne : “Clients often tell me “finally!” “because there are few specialist stores like us,” explains Jérémy Paolozzi, the store manager. Living in the area, this is precisely why he chose this location.
A technical analysis of the foot and stride
When we tell him that there are many sneaker stores nearby, he smiles: “Our approach is very different. Choosing a pair of running shoes is technical.” Here, before buying, customers are “analyzed”.
First there is a static analysisthen a gait analysis in motionon a treadmill. For the first, simply climb onto a covering that takes on a footprint:
We look at how the weight is distributed on the foot, is there an asymmetry or something else that can create instability and ultimately pain.
A running enthusiast for over 15 years and member of an athletics club, Jérémy Paolozzi was trained at the Runner cliniclike all sellers in the network. The analysis in movement makes it possible to determine the “attack” of the foot (on the toe or the heel) and the natural orientation of the foot (pronator therefore towards the inside, neutral or supinator, towards the outside) .
Walk, run, trail or triathlon
“Each pair of sneakers has a specificity. Some allow correction to limit pain. We will choose according to the analysis, the morphology of the client, their practice…”, continues the manager. Because the store is aimed at all practices : Nordic walking, running but also trail running or triathlon.
According to Jérémy Paolozzi, the clients he has received so far are of all levels :
The analysis is as interesting for a seasoned runner who wants to invest as it is for an amateur who wants to avoid getting hurt. Running is a sport accessible to everyone. Anyone can run, even barefoot. But it is also the sport where the body can be the most traumatized.
For the cost of sneakers, count between €128 and €250 to €300.
There are also a whole bunch of other products available on site. Clothing, socks or technical insoles, lamps, racing helmets or connected watches, there is also a food section.
Race invitation
“I also created a community,” explains the manager. Since the opening, those who follow him on the networks are invited to come run together. “There were up to 30 people sometimes. On the networks, I specify the route, the duration, the rhythm… When it’s a blabla run it’s rather quiet for example, that means that it’s a rhythm that allows you to talk,” he explains. .
The proximity of Parc des Frênes and the upcoming opening of a stadium at the end of the street also made the location an ideal place for these weekly races. “Whoever wants comes,” concludes Jeremy Paolozzi.
