One of the heavy goods vehicles ended its race in a property bordering this departmental road, in the North.
A violent collision involving two heavy goods vehicles occurred during the night of Tuesday December 3 to Wednesday December 4 around 3:30 a.m., at the intersection known as “Le Chapette Rouge”, in the town of La Groise (North).
A collision with high kinetics, as evidenced by the state of the two semi-trailers, one of which ended up on private property. “We heard a huge boom and it woke us up” testifies a local resident.
Quickly on site, the Northern firefighters intervened to help the victims. If for the moment we do not know the seriousness of the injuries of the two truck drivers, the firefighters, reinforced by a Samu team, had to extricate the victims in order to extract them from the cabins.
As for the reasons for this collision, they remain to be determined by the gendarmes who have opened an investigation.
The D946 is a busy road, particularly at the start and end of the day. A diversion has been put in place by nearby municipalities.
